Ningún medicamento parece ayudar con mi ansiedad

I've had severe social anxiety and generalized anxiety for my entire life. I've been seeing therapists for it since I was 20 and I'm 28 now. I have tried multiple medications to no avail (Paxil, Venlafaxine, Propranalol, Xanax, Wellbutrin, and right now Celexa). Maybe I am not taking them for long enough to feel the effects? All of them I have taken for a minimum of 3 months and had the doses increased as well until my doctors told me to wean off of them so we could try something else.

With some of the meds I felt side effects in the beginning and then they wore off and I felt nothing different, tried a higher dose and still felt nothing, tried a higher dose, etc. With the others I felt no difference from the beginning, no side effects or anything.

I have read that these meds can take a while to have an effect but is it normal to not feel any difference whatsoever after 3 months of taking them? How much longer should I stay on them until it's time to try something else? When should I increase my dosage if I don't feel any effects?

Any suggestions on other meds I should try for social anxiety?

Have you tried supplementing your medication with other approaches like exercise, walking in nature, meditation and relaxation techniques? Traditional medicine practitioners might call this baloney, but your problem might be more deep-rooted and not just physiological. That might be the reason the medicines are not working.

I have tried many other techniques from yoga to daily walks to dancing, meditation, breathing exercises, CBT, etc. Nothing helps, not even a little bit.

Also just FYI, anxiety runs in my mother's side of the family, my aunts and uncles all have it to some extent as do my mother and sisters. My social anxiety is definitely worse than anyone else in the family though and as I mentioned, I've had it for as long as I can remember. Even as a baby I was terrified of strangers and never wanted to leave my mother's side.
