OMG i think i gave my GF H2!!! im so upset and scared right now. We had unprotected sex this past wednsday late night and this friday morning i notice an outberak. I didnt have any symptoms or signs of an outbreak but now i have one. Im so depressed that i think i gave it to her. She has not said anything yet, but i dont know what to do. Please help me feel at ease. Im in tears right now uncontrolably.
What are the possiblilities of my GF contracting H2 2 days before i have an outbreak? Could i have been sheading with in those 2 days? My god i am panicing so much right now. I dont know what to do! I will die if she get this.
She also performed oral sex on me as well. Could she be subjected to H2 in her mouth?
What can i do to help her if she starts having symptoms? Its been 2 days since we had sexual contact and i know it would take a few days for anything to show up. I know so much about this disease, but right now my mind is very cloudy and i cant think straight.

yes shes known ive had it since the first week we started dating. She is very accepting that i have it. I was taking suppressive therapy daily until i went out of towen for a week and i got to take my meds with me. The day i got back i starting taking them again and we had sex 2 days later.
Just so you know, the meds take 5 days to reach full suppressive levels, and 5 days to clear your body. Also, stopping the daily meds after a long period of taking them can often bring about an outbreak.
It's unfortunate you didn't bring your meds with you, and maybe that's why you had an outbreak. Next time, don't forget, or take extra precautions until you've been back on the meds for 5 days straight.
You might want you use condoms anyway, if you're that concerned about giving it to her. The meds don't fully eliminate viral shedding, and transmission is worse from men to women than vice versa.
As for your current situation, you can only wait and see if she develops symptoms. Might be an idea for her to test for HSV2 IgG antibodies at 3 months to cover this exposure plus everything before. If she already has it asymptomatically, then you both needn't worry so much.
Could there be a possibility of her not contracting H2? I know the chances are slim, but i just hope she is not infected. Also, what is the normal time frame for symptoms to show?
We've had sex with out a condom about 10 times or so, and the every other time we used condoms. This has been about 4 months now. Do you think its time to get igg test for her?
I didnt know it takes 5 days for the suppressive levels to be fully active, but i will now take much more precaution.
hey guys just a quick update on my situation with my girlfriend. It has now been eight days since we were sexually active it has now been 8 days since we were sexually active and I had an outbreak with no symptoms.
As for my girlfriend in the last three or four days she has had a mild headache sore throat aches and pains in her neck and lethargy period but all of those symptoms seem to have gone away when the last 15 to 20 hours. So I am wondering if she could be passed the time frame of being infected? Or is it still too early to tell?
As the days move on I'm starting to feel a little better less stressed out mentally. I really hope nothing comes up the next week or so.
Not out of the woods yet, but like you said, that's a good sign so far. Of course, some people are asymptomatic, don't forget. She should get checked every now and then.
