No operation

Hi all I haven't written for a while as I have been waiting to see whether or not the specialist was going to be doing the ablation on my womb.

I recieved a phone call yesterday to go in to hospital today. I attended the hospital at the time they stated and was almost admitted, when the consultant saw me I told them that I hadn't had a period since December 2016.

The consultant went away to speak to the specialist, and when he came back to me through the discussion he said it was a waste of time having the operation. I was relieved as I didn't reall want it anyway.

He said that he thought that I was going through the menopause, as I had no periods and getting hot flushes every now and again. What does everyone think, is this the menopause or not?

If you havent had a period since December I would say yes you might be in menopause. You have to go a full 12 months with no period to be in menopause.

Sounds like lack of communication. Why would they schedule this in the first place? What was wrong that they would have planned the surgery?
