No periods + unprotected sex - test shows not pregnant?!!

Hi

We are aiming for pregnancy.

Most of this month we have had unprotected sex.  

Furthermore my wifes periods are normally due on the 25th, however this month she has not had pains or blood release.

So we thought she must be pregnant but test results show that not pregnant. 

The test was done today 30 May 2014 early morning, first urine.

Could the timing of taking the test (during/near end of period) give an in accurate result?

Update -  did another test next day (31 may) and same result.

You could have a false negative so it is best to confirm with a blood test

most of the time pregnancy test fails, you can cosult your doctor. doing unprotected sex can make a girl pregnant, chances are of pregnancy are there...you can take abortion pills to prevent pregnancy.
