No sensation in scar

Hi everyone,

I am now 4 and a half months post opp and waiting for my second, anyway I noticed that the skin below my scar has no feeling, but the skin at the top has , has anyone else had this?

Hi, I have the same and doctor told me it may long upto 6 months.

Takes ages to get all back to normal....probably abot 10/12 months but you'll suddenly notice its OK without realising! I kept up the Bio Oil for  months until the whole bottle had been used!

Hi Lynne:

I had my most recent Hip surgery on March 9, 2015.  It is still numb!  Although, to be quite honest it was a re-surgery.  I had a car accident some 30 years ago and my hip was operated on than.  And, it always was numb but recently to a lesser extent, I still had tingling in my hip scar site.  And, now that I have just had a THR

I guess I'm beginning again.  

The best thing about the numbness was when the staples were removed all 37 of them, I felt nothing!

I hope you continue to feel more and more everyday!  Not to worry, it's quite normal!

Its only scar tissue recovering from the scalpel battering and will come back in time. I was advised to rub a little red wine onto the wound, then drink a bit of the wine, then rub a bit more in, then drink a bit more, then, no forget the scar, just drink the wine !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a good Easter

Baileys too I believe...actually any alcohol will work!

I recommend  any wine and as I have noted previously in my comments a good Moet is even better but as crissy-wissy has said any alcohol will work !! It would appear that my comments on the forum on hip replacements have helped many fellow sufferers but unfortunately have turned them into alcoholics - Cheers !!!!!

Your compliments are greatly appreciated. I have found that for some reason alcohol and chocolate tends to bring out the best response in us hippies and one should adds mainly from women !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not sure where you live but you have made me smile !

Very sexist Trevor......all responses improve with alcohol and chocolate.....not just women and not just hippies....and
