No stones shown

anyone have gallbladder pain and attacks without stones shown on scan, iv had ultra sound around when it all started about 2 years ago and a ct scan about 6 months ago. i have constsnt right upper abdominal pain and right shoulder pain, i get severe nausea and have bloating, reflux and fatigue too. my very first symptom was constant nausea.

forgot to mention i had a hida scan of 32%

Yes I had a gallbladder attack that lasted 6 hours then subsided I was booked for an abdominal scan 6 weeks after and got told that I had no stones but a fatty liver ,I still had persistent discomfort on my rt side ,I was referred to liver specialist who sent me for another scan and this time I was shown that I had lots of tiny stones floating around in my gallbladder.

Hi Beth I do not have stones but sludge but the person doing the scan said sludge can hide tiny stones the Ultrasound maybe not picking them up. I have learned that right shoulder pain can be linked to the Liver so if your GB is playing up, your Liver may as well. I remember when being sick, vomiting, was when I recovered as I would not eat for 2 or 3 days and slowly go back to solid foods and I was like that for several years but never linked it to Gall Bladder. I also had projectile vomiting once getting out of bed! Most the time if I was going to vomit it usually was about 2 AM. But most the time I was ill at Christmas time, at all other times it was just diarrhea upset tummy. When I worked out it was the Gall Bladder everything fell into place with regard to my eating habits.

what do they consider a bad hida scan? I’m having mine wed.between the bloating the chest discomfort eatting bland food and constipation and/or diarrhea, oh and don’t forget the anxiety from all this! cant keep going on like this!!!

lower then 35% is abnormal apparently
