Very good morning to you ladies and gentlemen.
The reason that brings here today is strange. I'm on sertraline for anxiety and depression for almost three months(50mg) and although I have to admit I'm much better there are still things bothering me and I would like to know if they ever go away.
First: I wake up to go to the toilet every night several times. Is this normal and does it go away? I'm still feeling down at certain parts of the day, is this a sign the med is working but might need a change in dosage? Third and last, got very dark intrusive thoughts after I started taking sertraline their frequency has gone down but they still scare will they ever go away?
Sorry for the long post. Love
Hi Domingos, sorry you are having some difficulty on this med. My experience with this med during first couple of months was anxiety, dizziness and shakiness. You might want to talk to ur doctor about the dark thoughts. As too waking up all the time to urinate, I have interstitial cystitis so thats my life but I m not sure if its a side effect. I hope you start to feel like yourself soon. 😎
Thanks. I suspect I'm going to have to go up or stop taking it. I honestly don't know.. Sometimes I feel ok sometimes I feel sad and depressive. Specially when alone
I think your dose needs to be increased. I felt horrid till I hit 150mg and then for the first time in 8 months I felt better. I still have the odd moment of anxiety but I'm so much better.

That's what I suspect too. But I have to be honest, I am afraid to go up. How many weeks of side effects does one feel when going up?
