Norspan pain patch applied in the wrong place

I accidentally applied Norpsan pain patch in a person's left lower back when it is supposed to be applied in the upper back.

Is this harmful?

Thanks in advance for answering!

I jse a patch but it is not norspan. However i think the same applies. I placed it on my upper back once and just didnt feel much relief from it until a lot later than i would have. Not sure if there is any science behind that its just what i noticed from my one time mistake doing that. I cant imagine it will do any harm so dont worry too much.

I think you are correct - the pain killer enters the blood in the wrong place so takes more time to get to the right place. It is probably not a good idea to put another patch in the correct location as that would be a double dose.

Yes the drug will eventually enter the system even in the wrong place. I switched patches just because even after a few days didnt think it was doing what it should have been. A few hours after that i felt fine again.

Hi Niina

The pain patch is more effective when you place it over the painful area....you did not cause great harm

go ahead an breath now, hugs
