im 5 weeks post THR op and all good. Been talking aspirin morning and night for 5 weeks as prescribed by doctor to avoid blood clots. 3 days ago began to get nose bleeds from right nostril. Gushes, but stops shortly after pinching. Been happening 2,3 times per day. I'm guessing it's the aspirin and therefore stopped aspirin 2 days ago. Any comments or responses would be appreciated

Sure sounds like your antiblood clotting has gone a little far. You can have blood test to make sure.

Check with your Dr before you stop taking aspirin. I had a DVT scare. Ok now but worrying at the time.

Talk to GO or hospital. Maybe just one dose a day?

Actually you may be experiencing extreemply high blood pressure.

This happened to my husband. When your blood pressure gets dangerusly high it blows blood vessels in the nose. We found this out when we took him to the hospital in the middle of the night and his nose bleed wouldn't stop. Suggest, just to rule it out, suggest you keep monitoring your blood pressue.

Thanks, but that's not it. My blood pressure is perfect.

im hoping it is the aspirin, and I believe it takes about 7 days to thoroughly be gone from the body.

I am taking HALF an aspirin daily for 1 month after my hip for prevention of clots. Maybe you need a smaller dose? Should check with Dr.

I'm on blood thinning injections for 5 weeks post op and have to have bloods done weekly. I think you need to have your blood checked.

That is wonderful that you have perfect blood pressure.
