shishir, I've hesitated to reply as my symptoms are no where near as bad as many of the people I read on here. On the other hand I've been very active in doing my own research and making continual adjustments to the vitamins, minerals, and herbs that I take. Also many adjustments on the foods and liquids I eat and drink. Since I'm borderline diabetic and have been for many years, I try to eat several small meals a day and snack every hour to keep my blood sugar level That is something you might try doing. As for my thyroid I'm on thyroid meds and they do help me keep and even temp. Without the thyroid meds I get very cold even on very hot days and I live almost in the desert, so it's in the 90s in the spring, summer and fall and only in the 60s in the coldest of the winter. As for the palpitations, when they happen to me, I immediately move my body around or breath different, anything to change up my heart beat and then quite soon the heart beat goes back to level. Since everyone in my family, on both sides have died of heart attacks and since relatives closest to me have all had stints put in their hearts, I pay attention to any heart issue, but at the same time, I also realize that if I let myself, I can get myself really worked up and upset and make my heart palpitations worse, so I work at trying to stop the ASAP and consciously work at not allowing my self to get really upset or panicky about it. I have a close friend who had serious panic attack about 15 years ago. She researched what to do for herself and found that in many cases panic attracts come from low levels of GABA. So she started to take GABA when a panic attack came one and it worked for her, so I gave it try too and it worked for me too. That's not to say it will work for everyone. Everyone is different, but it's something to consider. I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what you mean when you say VN. I know of a few things that could be in the medical area, since my problems have been so wide spread, I'd rather not jump to any conclusions, so please tell me what you mean. As for the almost fainting, getting past that was just a matter of taking the iron pills the Dr. gave me. That's all there was to it. Also have you seen the results to your blood work? Even if your tests were in the normal range, if they were on the low side of normal, you could be very sensitive and feel the effects of that aspect of your blood being on the low side. That happened to me, just 2 years ago. I got back a lab report and it said that I was in stage 3 kidney failure. I called the Dr. and said there's a mistake, I don't' have any kidney problems. So they checked...and sure enough I did and had had it for 2 yrs, but they didn't tell me because normally there is nothing they can do...so they say...until you are in stage 4 kidney failure. Well that is just baloney! I read up on it and there was something I could...quite eating hi preteen foods....I did that and I'm now in stage 2, which is much better. So you see there are things you can do and you really have to understand what the tests are saying and quiz your Dr. One of my Dr.s admitted that the tests he had given me for gluten might not be sensitive enough to pick up that I might really have a gluten problem...which is exactly what happened to me. Also you and everyone needs to understand that if you let problems go, they can and often will cascade and cause other issues in your body. Maybe not as serious, but if let go, they can get serious. So everyone, in my estimation, needs to do their own research and to be very vigilant and through and to do ongoing research as new research comes up with new things all the time. You say you get 6-8 palpitations..to be honest...I wish I only had 6-8..mine will sometimes go on for a few min. I know that is not much compared to what others go thru, but non the less, if I'd not read up on it, it would certainly be more scary and that would make it worse. BTW have you tried resting in a recliner? I slept for a few years in my recliner. It was the only place I could be comfortable....that was a number of years ago when I had a lot other other medical problems....like IBS, Gluten Sensitivity, Arthritis, borderline diabetic, horrendous stress, and the list goes on. Now I lead a very quiet life, take a number of vitamins, minerals and herbs each day ( I know what each one is for and why I'm taking it and I still do research and reading on the Internet all the time, to stay up with current research. I also do like listening to Dr. Oz on TV, which I started to do a few months ago and have learned a number of alternative medical things that work for me....for example...for my Acid Reflux, I drink a few table spoons of Dill pickle juice and the acid reflux just disappears almost instantly. For Gallbladder issues, I drink the juice of 1/2 of a fresh squeezed lemon. These things really do work on me and better any any meds I've tred. For stress reduction and pain reduction, I learned self hypnosis about 25 yrs ago and to this day I still use it when my arthritis in my hips starts to give me problems..and it works to bring down the pain level to a manageable point and then I take some anti inflammatorily herbs/ minerals/etc ( MSM & Quercertin). By doing research on your own conditions you will gain a lot of in site as to what may work for your and you will be more in control and that will lower the stress and by lowering the stress you will most likely lower the heart palpitations. Also do be aware that if you are low in certain minerals and / or vitamins that alone can cause heart palpations and / or can also cause higher stress levels and in turn cause high anxiety and eventually panic attracts. I would say from my reading that many (not all, but many if not most) panic attacks could be elevated if not eliminated by just being sure your minerals, amino acids and vitamins levels are correct and by eliminating certain foods and liquids that cause high blood pressure and other like issues. Again, it's in everyone's best interest to do their own research on their own medical issues. There are lots of easy home remedies that will cost next to nothing to take and other therapies that you can do yourself, such as diet, vitamins, herbs, self hypnosis, tapping therapy, relaxation therapy, and meditation therapy, exorcize and yoga. I'm an older woman, but I do all these things and I walk 1/2 a day at a rapid pace and I exorcize 1 hr every day. All these things add up to make you feel better. Yes it was hard to get started, but when I started years ago, I felt the difference within just a week. So for me it's well worth it. I can honestly say, I'm in must better condition that most women my age. Yes I still have some issues and work to keep the older health issues under control, so I still read looking for new answers. I do hope what I've written helps you and others and hopefully inspires you and others to try to read and exorcize to work on your various conditions. Getting better can be done. I didn't start until I was in my late 50's and I'm must better today that I was and I think the same can be true for anyone who is willing to work at it and invest the time to become more knowledgeable about their own body.
