I have noticed some small blisters around my genital area today. They look like skin tags but a couple have burst and it was clear and bloody liquid. I noticed a slight pain there but I feel fine overall. I had a partner with herpes and we broke up. We used condoms a lot and he wouldn't let us have sex if he had a breakout.
Ok, well as a herpes sufferer, I can tell you that it will always be possible to get it. I got it from my partner having a normal coldsore and performing oral sex. So that may be a way in which you got it. Secondly, dont panic. To me, it does sound like herpes, especially if there is pain and bursting of the blisters. It is unlikely to be genital warts as I know they cannot burst. Go to a nurse and they'll likely prescribe acyclover.

You need to get tested hun, the trouble with herpes is that because often the sores aren't actually on the penis (or not on the penis exclusively) so condoms aren't a great protection. Also, the you can't just catch herpes when he is showing visible signs, the virus 'sheds' without symptoms which means you may not know when he contagious.
The only way to know for sure is to have blood work and swabs done, although the swabs should be taken within the first 2 days of a breakout, or the risk of a false negative is higher.

Please go get swabbed asap. When was the last time you had sexual contact w him? Was he on daily suppressive therapy?
So I went in to the doctor and she swabbed my blister. She says it is very likely to be herpes however I was supposed to get my results today and recieved no call. I have been told that if I don't get a call the results are negative.. Which doesn't leave ne hanging or anything. If I don't have herpes what the heck do I have!?
I never take their word in not calling or calling. I've wat he'd others wait weeks and hear nothing and call back in and them say they couldn't find them and did and they were positive. I never rely on what I feel is an outdated medical etiquette.
I've also never seen tests come back this fast. You just got it swabbed the day before yesterday correct? They take longer than a couple of days to come back

Yeah the doctors told me it would onyl take a day or two. My anxiety disorder has been extreme since Sunday If it isn't herpes what could it be? I have super small blisters that don't even look like herpes.
Also, he takes medication for it every day. He didn't have a breakout at all during our short relationship and we used a condom every time. I understand that I did have a change of getting it but the chances were still slim. If he had a cold sore and gave me oral sex could that have done it?
The chance is rather small, but there's still always a risk. He doesn't need to have an OB below the waist or in his mouth to pass it, which I'm sure you know. My stuff didn't look like what's online either.

I know it's easier said than done, but try not to stress it, because if it is, there's nothing that changes it and if it isn't, it was all for nothing. Let's not put the cart before the horse at this point of time and just wait and see . hang in there.
