Not Sure If I'm Experiencing Panic Attacks, Help!

In October I went to the Emergency Room for these symptoms:

short of breath

racing heart/heart palpitations

chest pain

lightheadedness

weakness/tingling in left arm

shocks/waves up the right side of my head

The ER doctors took blood work, I had EKG's, X-rays of my chest, and an ultrasound. Everything came back fine. After a month the persistant fear of this occuring again went away, and I just had tight muscles on the left side of my chest, shoulder and neck.

In February I had another episode and felt:

stomach tightness,

short of breath,

racing heart, lightheaded,

and experienced chills and "waves of feeling" up the left side of my head, along with the left side of my face was tingling.

I went to see my pcp right away and after another EKG and strength test she told me that I am perfectly healthy. Since that episode I have had light to moderate chest pain/strain everyday. Sometimes I will have lighter episodes that only include lightheadedness, shortness of breath, and racing heart. I can't always tell what triggers these episodes because sometimes they occur when I think I am calm.

I will hopefully be seeing a cardiologist in the next week or so, but I am terrified that I have some undetected illness in my body like a tumor or heart cancer. I don't know what else to do-I am so afraid of my symptoms, but my doctors so far have told me that I am quite healthy.

Has anyone else experienced this fear and confusion??

There is no rhyme or reason to anxiety I can be laughing at something on tv and an attack starts Its a nasty illness that sucks

I have had most of the symptoms you have and I to have been to a and e and had test done  and all clear, I have had depression for 16 years the anxiety only started in December and it was totally floored me I had to resign from work because of it.

Keeping busy and exercising helps me

Stay Strong

I have had all of the symptoms you have described. Its anxiety and panic attacks that is doing this to you. I had bloods done etc...which came back fine as well. I can understand why you are worried as the feelings you get are scary and come on suddenly. One minute I'm fine the next I feel I am going to pass out. I have been prescribed a short dose of diazepam and my normal anti depressants. I can also feel calm one minute and then it starts, it's a horrible feeling and I feel for you. you will feel better soon but keep taking to your doctor about your worries. Take care xxx

This appears to be classic anxiety.  You may consider going to counseling!
