I’ve been on tri-sprintec for 5-6 years now and I’ve recently had bleeding between periods. I went to the clinic and they checked everything out, said all is normal, and that its most likely my body getting “use to” my current birth control. They’re switching me over to Sprintec.
I’m mainly concerned with getting acne (the reason I was put on the pill to begin with was to help eliminate my hormonal acne) and weight gain. I struggle with my body image already and I feel like any amount of weight gain due to the pill will make it worse.
I’m not sure if anyone here can offer advise. When I asked the doctor they said the only difference was that Sprintec is monophasic and my current bc is tri-phasic. Basically saying I shouldn’t have any unusual side effects.
