Hi, I had contact with a girl and found out she had genital herpes. I fingered her and then put on a condom without washing my hands but we didn’t have sex.
It’s been about two weeks and this sore has shown up on my inner thigh crease. It was itchy for about a week during really hot and sweaty weather but I didn’t think to have a look.
Today it’s been really sore so I had a look this morning and saw a bump in one picture. I left it and throughout the day it becomes sore in waves, I looked again this evening and it looked red and a bit bloody.
Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated, the waiting list to see a doctor is quite a while here at the moment.
You mention sweaty and hot - bumps such as these can appear from blocked glands especially in folds and creases ie groin area - the pictures are slightly blurred but from what I see I cant see a cause for a concern.
Also Herpes is transmitted through SKIN TO SKIN contact - the virus dies after its prone to air
An update if anyone comes across this in the future with similar symptoms.
The spot appeared on a Wednesday morning and opened popped later that day. The open sore in my reply was taken on the morning of the Thursday (next day) and I managed to get an appointment on the Friday afternoon.
I was examined on the sexual health doctor who also found a similar smaller sore just below my anus, they took a swab of the big sore which had just begun healing that morning and said they were ‘on the fence’ about my symptoms and prescribed me anti-virals.
The next day (Saturday) I found a similar smaller sore on the opposite thigh/groin area.
Over time I have experienced a sore/slightly burning sensation on the same areas and a bit lower down on my thighs. On inspection it looks as if some hail follicules may have been inflamed (the hair looked to be clinging on and fell off some when I rummaged around)
Today (Thursday), 8 days after the first sore, I got the result from the swab which came back ‘normal’ . I’m assuming that means negative.
