Numb legs

I have no idea what's causing it but for weeks now on waking I've been getting numb legs the left worse than the right sometimes it looks a bit red. I notice my heart seems to be thumping a bit at the time as well and I feel unwell. I have lower back pain and maybe it's something spinal as my neck clunks and I get neck pain. I have thyroid problems Graves and Hashimo's swing between the two. I am 61. Ant help would be good thanks.

Hi Jan, you ought to see your GP

Hello Jan,

I feel for ya. I also have Hashimotos and also adrenal insufficiency. And I too have a lot of issues with numbness.  I have found that Potassium and B-12 help a great deal.  Usually when your thyroid and/or any other part of the endocrine system is out of whack it really effects your entire body, especially your mineral levels. You may want to get your adrenals checked. A lot of things could be causing it though...kidneys, circulation, pinched nerve etc.

Hope this helps!! Good luck!! Hope ya get to feelin better

Hi thanks for both replies feeling a bit better past two days I've been having a glass of good red wine which seems to be helping plus wearin support stockings in bed. I've also taken your advice jan09788 and am taking a magnesium supplement and B12. Agree my thyroid can go out of whack hypo then hyper, and I get a lot of fatigue but use to battling that. Will get them to check my adrenals. Thanks.
