i had a right hip replacement almost 4 years ago and really recovered well and got on with life. in the summer i accidentally walked into a long drawer handle and it jammed into me right where my scar was. it took a long time to get better but it did eventually.
Ive now developed a tingly/numbness in my whole leg. i have made a gp appointment but its not for sometime. has anyone else had this numb leg thing after so long? im worried. any advice would be welcome

I had numbness and tingling after my last revision in July, between the old and new scars.
I massage it with bio oil and the numbness is slowly going.
do you think its the accident i had or bad luck its odd it started after 4 years
what kind of approach did you have? i am very concerned about numbness reports after anterior approach, which seems to be fairly pervasive.
Hi I hope your Doctor sorts your problem out soon.
I had my left THR just over 1 year ago and recently I have woken up and my whole leg on the surgery side is totally numb so I am going to see my GP too
My guess … probably temporary problem after the accident.
It should have surfaced before now if due to the operation itself.
on no! what approach did you have rhovin127?
I had the conventional posterior approach. im better these last couple of days so it was probably one of those things
