Oh yea
How much do you take?
What is the downside of daily therapy?
Is 1000 mg too much for long term use?
no I did not have outbreaks on suppressive therapy, well that was me. And you can ask your doctor to put you on it. I decided it cause I had continuous breakouts.
I have not had ob either do anyone have unprotected sex on antivirals and not pass it
Thanks for the reply
Im still just trying to out it all together 😕
Great question Kenneth !!!
Im very curious about this too
Conversely, any one on daily therapy infect a partner?

Interesting. This study find a very big reduction in transmission
I'm considering to take it too. Should I start it by myself or better go to consult with Doctor before starting? (to pay her for consulting fee to lol )
I just got it once last year but this year got once on lips and twice on my genital area. This year happened before I traveled and I got several plans coming next year so I 'm just thinking of preventing it. Cant decide now.
If valacyclovir (Valtrex), usually just 500mg per day for moderately frequent outbreaks (e.g., 5-10 per year), unless outbreaks are particularly frequent (e.g., over 10 per year), then 1000mg per day (500mg twice daily is better in this instance). Without a med-free period of several months to a year, however, it is hard to gauge which dosage you require.
For discordant couples, and where outbreak frequency is not an issue, 500mg per day is usually sufficient. But if a new infection and having sex with a negative partner, I would maybe do the higher dosage for the first 3-4 months, or at least on those days with sex.
A study has shown that women newly infected with HSV-2 are most infectious during the first 3 months. Starts to diminish somewhat after that, but obviously still contagious.
So you have both
Yes both up and down areas
Hopefully God will bless Professor Ian Fraizer that his HSV cure works. I take daily antivirals and pray a lot I had the primary and I'm a year and 2 mouths no visual ob it did cause scrotum and bladder issues for
