Just wondered how many are on sertraline for OCD and what the results are? I've recently decided to 'give it a go' having suffered with OCD and the related anxiety for many years without any help (intrusive thoughts) and having had a particularly bad bout pre Christmas when, for the first time, I also had depression. I read that it had been useful in helping people cope with OCD, particularly when combined with CBT which I'm hoping to start soon. I'm six weeks in and on 100mg and, whilst I'm not as depressed, it doesn't seem to be helping, as yet anyway, with my OCD. Be interested to hear of any other thoughts?
hi gary am on it for ocd which did make me anxious but the anxiety a have had through taking sertraline overtook my ocd am finnishing week 4 50mg start 100 mg tomorrow it is an up and down tablet but a see light at the end of the tunnel hope all goes well for you.
Thanks John and good luck! I'm hoping it will help eventually although I know it's not going to be a quick fix. I just thought I'd see some results by now.
thanks gary it is not a quick fix but i am feeling better than when i started am giving it the 8 weeks if it does not work as in feeling a lot better a will be looking to come off them a could not go through that again hope all goes well with you.
