OCD ticks from anxiety?

For whatever reason when I get anxiety I start to get OCD-ish habbits. Is it normal? Whenever I'm anxious I'll start to do this clicking of my throat almost obsessively. Only happens when I have anxiety.

I get similar "ticks". I find myself rubbing my face, I shake my leg and move my toes, I tap a lot and clench my jaw a lot.

I don't know why, I think maybe it's a coping mechanism, to get your mind off feeling anxious. It's like a distraction technique!

Yes when im anxious i shake my legs, rub and scratch my skin on my face, pick my nails, rub my fingers together and scratch my scalp

Yes, yes and yes! I've found that I've started doing all of these! I definitely agree it's a coping mechanism, sometimes it can really calm me down other times I do it regardless.
