Hi have posted before as I believe I have oesophagitis, I have GERD and have taken PPI for years. For past 18 months have been getting a really sore area in the sternum area and struggling to eat bread as it gets stuck. Thought I had it under control but has flared up again. I am still getting pain in area between breasts but now this has moved over to the left side on top of chest area and when I press on my chest wall the burning pain is severe. GP said that acid could cause the burning but am anxious about the pain moving over, also sore around side of armpit, would pain from oesophagus radiate that far. Don’t want to go running to GP thinking I am having a heart attack if this is normal
