Hi everyone, sorry to post yet again but I am honestly at my wits end. I would just like to know if anyone else has experienced a constant off balanced feeling or even something similar. I don't feel like my surroundings are spinning or anything like that, I feel like I am swaying when standing still or sometimes sitting and at times it feels as though the ground is moving from underneath my feet. I also experience these weird dropping sensations as if I have just gotten out of an elevator which usually occur whilst taking a step but not always. I'm starting to believe that it is all in fact anxiety but it always puts me into a panic. I have been tested for vertigo at the hospital and been told that I do not have it! So, I really am stumped. I also experience other odd symptoms but not as badly as the balance problem, if it's okay, I'd like to know what physical symptoms you guys experience! Thanks for reading, any comments would be appreciated! x
Vitamin D3 , you havent gotten your levels checked have you ?
Have you had your vitamin b12 tested. Low levels can cause your symptoms but also so can anxiety.
I recently had a lot of blood tests done but they didn’t do one for vitamin D3, I have a doctors appointment on Monday so I will make sure to mention it.
I got a lot of blood tests done recently and they did do a vitamin B12 test and it says no convincing sign of B12 deficiency, so must be anxiety? I’ll ask them to check my vitamin D3 levels just in case though!
Good like i said though vitamin D isnt in the protocol for blood labs it must be requested . It is vital for your body
i can relate to your symptoms i have dealt with some kind of off balance dizziness and i still do daily for the past 4 years . ive been to an audiologist he ran hearing and dizzy test couldn’t find the cause. but tour not alone its rough i barely go anywhere homebound its def robbed me of my life. but i have noticed its been bad since oct and my anxiety has been off the charts since.
Hey, thank you for your reply! It’s nice to know that I am not alone, however I feel for you as I know how bad it truly is. I’ve had numerous tests done and they always come back fine, which does reassure me but then I panic because I still feel so off balanced and I don’t know what is causing it. I understand what you mean when you say you barely go anywhere, as I am the same. I’ve been like this for around two months and I just want/need it to stop! I have noticed that when I am in a really bad panic or feeling extra anxious it’s definitely worse! Hopefully we both start to feel better soon. x
Hi Anxious,
I can definitely relate to the dropping in the head sensation - it feels worst at work - like a ‘whoosh’ in the head like a sudden bout of vertigo. My physical symptoms with this include head pressure / fuzzy head, brain fog, off-balanced (like walking on a bouncy castle) - my head can feel like a tight band or belt has been wrapped around it. I thought these problems may be due to a heavy fall on my head whilst playing football or something worse - but MRI scan found nothing. The problems are worse when I am around large groups of people, or people / environments who I don’t like.
Maybe you can relate to some of this ? If it is of any re-assurance I have been prescribe with Sertraline for anxiety. Have been taking this med for about 4 months but haven’t noticed any effect at all. The head pressure is still there, it feels like I am lumbered with this for the rest of my life ![]()
