hi all , I've been off work for five weeks with contineuos gallstone pain.
Its too painful to lift or bend , I'm due to see consultant today to talk about the op to remove the gall bladder
Has anyone else been unable to work before having them out. ?
Yes, I had an attack, got CT scan for verification, off 2 weeks from work then had operation. Off another 3 weeks.
Yes gilly it was extremely hard for me I worked with the pain alot of times but after a bit of times doing dat I just couldn't take day stomach pain much longer.
Yep I tried my best but the pain from the stone getting lodged made it impossible to waitress. I ended up having two weeks of cancelling shift until I had it deemed an emergency and got it removed.
I then had to take another 4-5 weeks for recovery; I was unable to get a medical clearance as we are to avoid heavy lifting. Hope you're doing well xo
