Oh gosh...been there sister. Called 911 several years ago first time then at work almost 2 years ago. Panic attacks! They are horrible. I've had others but new it was a panic attack so I just tried to relax. It's very hard tho with all these wacky symptoms that make you feel like something has to be majorly wrong.i've learned to push through them. I hope you feel better!
My GYN gave me a script for Valium as needed for anxiety panic attacks plus put me on a combination patch seems to work for the most part on occasion an attack may come out of the blue but more tolerable
Hi Misty,
I am learning that a lot of my attacks are coming from being scared. I know where a lot of the symptoms come from its just that some are more frightening than others. Another thing I need to do to keep anxiety down is stay off the internet googling stuff. So many things have the same symptoms and I literally scare myself to pieces thinking I have some horrid disease. I am slowly learning how to work with this. I have a lot of suggestions as to what to take to keep the anxiety down and I have a script from my GP. I am going to try something because this anxiety can get out of control if you let it.
Hello Jamie,
I have just caught up on all the replies to your posts. I think you should find a doctor you are comfortable with and really trust. I like all the rest here have suffered through all of this whether it is all hormonal or it is in part your personality. I attribute it to both, I found HRT and anti anxiety medicine works best for me. Nothing takes it away completely but I have more control, also keeping positive thoughts and dismissing negative thoughts! Staying off the internet and looking up symptoms will drive you crazy and heighten your anxiety as one lady posted. I see my GP every 3 months and my Cardiologist every 6 months, my Gyno once a year. In the past year I have been trying to wean myself off the HRT, and honestly I am struggling, sooooo after coming back onto this forum of women and reading all the comments I have, I realize that I am not serving myself any good by doing so. Therefore, I am back on to taking the HRT every day at a lower dose, I will give it some time, if I do not feel better I will go back to the full higher dose. I hope you find some comfort here as I have and find yourself with a doctor or 2 you can trust. xo
