Does any one use or recommend 'salts' anymore for gallbladder problems. Why has this form of treatment unheard of now?
What sort f salts ? Haven't heard of that treatment xx
Hi, Franka,
Do you mean bile salts? Sometmes a gallbladder excretes too much bile, so no additional bile salts are necessary. Other times, a gallbladder is nearly or completely blocked, and some people supplement with ox bile.
Epsom and Glauber salts.
Hi, Frank,
Okay, these are both laxatives. Some people with gallbladder disease might have accompanying constipation (insufficient bile) I can understand that laxatives might help that. But others suffer from quite the reverse. In that instance, no further stimulation is necessary.
However; I think that though it might help symptoms, eventually the underlying disease will need to be investigated and addressed. Untreated gallbladder disease can lead to all sorts of serious complications.
Best of luck to you!
