ok i have this damn rash again!! last night it showed and dissapeared in 3 hours completely. Before i went into the shower tonight i had nothing - not one spot. I just got out of the shower and look at this!! This is happening 1-2 times per month! And before i can get to a doc its gone! What is wrong with me - im assuming this is herpes?! i live in misery everyday?! there is absolutely no pain - i have had mild itching

could be contact dermatitis.. if it comes and goes like that it could be a actual skin issue and not from herpes. I’d definitely consult a dermatologist.. its worth to discuss with your gn. of course.. but id get to the bottom of it. and just do the process of elimination while you wait for your apps. even water temperature, or if where you’re from the water is hard or has too much chlorine in it , can irritate your skin. so many factors play into it.

u should stop applying soaps etc when in the shower it might be the skin products your washing with thats causing it

ive had multiple - all negative except one lab gives me a positive igm. last bloods were 6-7 months post exposure…
ive taken your advice and gotten a referral to go to a dermatologist. i didnt think of the water until you said so - when the rashes started happening i just moved into a new house…
no - there are no blisters! just flush red spots!!!
thanks Kim! it all went away 1 hour later - the entire rash GONE! thats why its confusing me. im going to a dermatologist

good, im glad youre moving forward with getting answer’s.. hard water can cause skin irritation, alot of things.. but it really does look like a skin irritation more then herpes , but a derm. will better figure everything out for you . keep me. update. take care hun
so you had a possible exposure to hsv? did you get a positive igm but negative igg?
