You didn't say how long ago you had your surgery, or what type of hip surgery you had. If sounds as though you probably just had the surgery done within the last week or two. Is so, rest is important at this stage. Keep your leg elevated and apply ice packs several times a day to help reduce pain and swelling.
sorry I had a thr two weeks ago.now starting the third week.
my leg is a lot better foot still swollen.not sleeping well at all think this is a sidafect from blood thinners? I'm waking up every hr more ore less peeing lots to?.i have good days and bad
Lunch sounds a great idea.. The first 6 weeks are hardest I think but this probably depends on the type of surgery. Perhaps put a heat pack in the muscle area. Are you still doing physio as this is still important.
Try using a seat wedge type cushion so that you are not sinking back and down too much in the car seat and nearly losing the 90 degrees. It can be useful indoors as well.
so sorry to hear this, but please don't be so hard on yourself --- goodness, you just had major invasive surgery !!!
jomary mentioned putting a pillow on seat of the car so you don't break the 90 degree rule --- my car is a tiny lowseated Fiat and very challenging to get in to and out of ...
also the seating in the restaurant ... did you bring a cushion or did you sit on a typical dining chair ....
the frequent trips to the bathroom at night are normal - your body needs to let go of a lot of fluid - it will get less ...
be kind to your self okay .... slow down a bit - it will all work out perfectly ...
