i had right knee replacement 6 months ago and found the ice pack after exercising a great comfort and relief, this time I'm finding it extremly painful to use, has anybody else suffered this situation?
Yes, it was also totally different for me with the TKRs. But you're only at one week post? Wow, you're doing well. You'll find what will help with this TKR. Maybe try cold ice pack rather than frozen. That's what helped me.
Yes I was aware that it will be different, this one more painful and I can't raise my leg which I did on day 3 with the other one 😩😩suppose it will happen eventually, still feel like a landed whale!! It can only getter better, very relieved both have now been done , don't think there would have been a third..lol..
Tea towel double folded, so not quite so cold? Keep moving pack around every ten mins maybe? Less pressure...I had a lose ice cuff type thing from the hospital, which was more comfortable than a closely pressed ice pack.
It took me a month to lift my leg! 😁😂😃
Thank u Jenny it's like having to learn all over again!!
I'm with you on that! Yes, it will happen, don't worry, Both of mine have been vastly different and each one a learning experience. Just try and be in tune with your body.
Good wishes to you for a steady recovery! Speak loving words to the wretched leg, and it may encourage it! I did something called the church pew exercise to help my quads reactivate, i do feel it helped! Google it maybe !
