Hi everbody I have been suffering from meniers for 3 years now but only during the summer months ( may june july and august)
The attacks are violent and last approx 8 weeks with the after shocks leaving me bed ridden for days at a time exhausted mentally and physically
Could this be linked to hayfever ? Has anybody else experienced this
Thank you
Hi Barry
I'm sorry that you have been so ill and hope you improve as the summer will soon be over.
There was a thread regarding seasonal allergies and meniere's. I will post a quick comment on it to "revive" it so you can read it, and others might like to add more comment
Best wishes . Misti
Hi Barry. There is a definite connection between allergy and MD. Sounds like this could be your situation if in fact you do have MD. How do you know you have it? Have you been diagnosed by an ENT doctor following a hearing test? Do you have hearing loss in low decibel range, tinnitus, ear fullness?
How are you managing your hay fever? Do you have other allergies? Are you being treated by an allergist?
Hi Tanney Yes my MD has been diagnosed through my ENT consultant and I get the full package of tinitus hearing loss fullness in the ears and violent spins followed by weeks recovering
I had a kenalog injection for hayfever which seemed to help for a few weeks but BANG the end of june right through to this week I have been suffering daily
I never thought to see an allergist
Thank you for your help and also to misty
Any advice will be greatly appreciated
