I went to see my consultant yesterday who told me i will be having a TLC + BSO on the 11th of June glad i will be getting things sorted but nervous all the same. She told me from the internal scan i have Andeyomosis which now i know explains a few things.
Its now just the waiting game but im away in spain for a long weekend end of May just glad i get to go as was worried i may have to cancel.
Hi. Glad you got some answers I'm having exact same op but for endometriosis next week. I'm really nervous but more about losing ovaries at 40 and the difference to me afterwards than actual op. Great news about getting to go on holiday and something to look forward to. Have fun
Hi froggy Iam 41 this Sunday I had my big op last November 15th for the same reason you are. I must say I wish I had started my hrt 7 weeks. I took hrt tablet which did get on with do started the hrt patches 3 weeks a go and it seems to be helping. It's a long road Iam still sore and can not over do it. Just take it slow and let everyone help you. Iam on the road to be coming me again I feel about 80% me so Iam looking forward to being 100% they say 6 months to a year . you all tc and I wish you all good luck xx
Thank you for replying. I'm really nervous about hrt and Dont know if searching everything Google throws at me is a good idea but I'm hoping patches are good for me. Did you have severe menopause symptoms. My consultant is adamant that I need to lose them both because of cysts and increased risk of ovarian cancer with endo. Were you the same? X
Yes went straight in to it. Hot flushes mood swings the lot but we are all different so you no if you will. I was not allowed to take hrt untill 6 weeks after because of the endometriosis was so bad he said he could of misst a bit and it needed to die. I had my womb ans cevix out aswell. I did take happy pills after about 4 weeks because I needed I quick fix and now still on them just one 2mg now untill I feel the hrt patches are working with my moods I will stop the happy pills. The patches work faster because they go into your blood stream. The good thing is I didn't bleed after my op ans not since xx
I went in for my op on sat 15th Nov ans went back to work 4th March so about 14 weeks I think. But I only work 9 till 2 3 days a week but they was still a bit much because I stand up. What job do you do. If I can be any more help just inbox me on here xx
Thank you. I'm sure I will as date gets near. Pre op tomorrow. I work 4 days but long days 7 to 5 so can be quite tiring. I do plan to do things properly as have habit thinking I can do it all! Glad you're getting there now x
Iam the same on the go all the time I thought how the hell will I be able to lay down for 10 weeks doing nothing but belive me you do. Your body can not do it. But again you may feel ans move alot better ans had water infection aswell after and got to see a docter for that. X
Hi Lee id nwver heard of it before until I read your reply last week so it rang a bell when she mentioned it. Does explain the pain and the clots now .Hope your recovery gets better .
Hi I feel exactly the same as you its not so much the op its the recovery and not been able to do much as im quiet an active person.
I told my boss yesterday and she was really good I said 6 weeks but reading a lot of the posts on here I think im been optimistic .
regarding hrt I was told I cant take it due to my sister s borh having breast cancer. She said the menopause will hit straight away so I m trying to prepare myself for that. My friend is going through it now and the hot flushes are what she struggles with most. When is your op froggy just wondering how long between post op and op .
Jackie my mum dies at 55. She had beast cancer although that is now why she died. I have HRT and can stay on it until I am 55. I am now not having any menopausal symptoms. I take oestrogel which is oestrogen only so is safer.
I am 4 weeks post op (tomorrow) and i was dreading the recovery. I also cannot stand to sit about, but believe me you will just do it. I think its because you don't feel strong enough to do anything, its like when you are ill, you lie about and don't feel like doing anything. This is similar, although i don't feel unwell my brain must be telling me i cant do it as i'm in recovery mode. Its weird really, as i'm normally rushing around doing housework going to work and having my grandkids. You will need the rest believe me. Good luck with your op x
