Open sores

Hi, I have two open sores on my labia I have never had no sexual contact what so ever it doesn't itch but it do burn and it comes and go and last for a long period of time I was wondering what could this be ?

It can be caused by many things, not necessarily STDs. You need to explain better where the sores are (labia minora or labia majora) , how long have they been there, do you have any other issues, etc. If you feel comfortable - you should post a photo, it would make it much easier to get an opinion.

It’s on the right labia minora it has been there about three weeks but it comes and goes. It burns when I take a shower or while urinating

Would you describe them as ulcers or skin cracks? Do you have any other symptoms, enlarged lymph nodes, fever…? If you are sure that this can’t be sex-related (and please keep in mind that STIs can be contracted even without full penetration), some options to consider could be fungal, viral and bacterial infections, and also some inflammatory diseases, physical trauma, skin reactions, etc.

If it has been persistent and recurring for a long time - you should see a doctor and clarify the root cause.

No other symptoms. I am sure I never had no sexual contact in any form.

I see. As I mentioned, these can be caused by virus, bacteria or fungi. All of them could be contracted without sexual contact. However, they would typically have other symptoms, as well (change in discharge colour, odour or thickness; redness; itching; pain; etc.)

Another cause would be skin reaction to some chemical. Have you recently changed a soap or shampoo? The skin around genitals is sensitive, and while a product can be fine for the rest of your body - it could still affect your genitals.

A common reason for sores in genital area is physical trauma. Since you haven’t had sexual contact, it could have been caused by masturbation, so you should keep that in mind, although I don’t think it looks like a physical trauma.

If I understand the photo correctly, your anus would be on top of the photo. In that case, it looks like your left labia is of slightly different colour than the right one. Is that correct? The photo shows a very limited area, but I would assume that there is nothing significant in the other parts of your vulva and your perineal area.
