thank you for all your kind words what a traumatic experience we have had so tired and stressed at last we have been for Eric's pre assessment today the opp is next week on the 27th at Barnsley  I was 80 last week .eric spent 6 days in hospital due to the dislocation  and after much badgering we have a hospital bed his legs have been very swollen  and now a lot better no fun getting old hope everything goes well Janet and eric

Good to hear that there is a date for the surgery - It shouldn't be this way though and I am so sorry for all the things you and Eric had to go through ...

I hope you have good people around you who can help and support you after the surgery ..

Hi Janet

Happy belated birthday.

Thank goodness you at last have a date for the operation, as gillcat says he will soon be over the worst. You are right about there being no fun in getting older; but it better than the alternative. Good luck for next week, please let us know how you both are.
