I went to see my optician yesterday for a routine eye test, eyesight was fine, no change from two years ago. I told her my blepharitis story, she said that she could see some slight evidence but nothing serious, a very different story to when I first saw my doc with big red swollen eyelids. My self found treatment plan does work, for me at least.

Hi I saw my eye specialist a couple of week ago who told me the back of my eyes are fine...... as for the blepharitis I am on the maximum treatment so he discharged m !!! ....like you the treatment I am on I have sorted for myself....I still get flare ups but not as bad as it was ...I sometimes think these so called specialist don't have a clue which is why they discharge us.....

....to shower every morning without fail and use a shampoo, trade name Capasal, available on prescription and off Amazon, to wash the hair and all round eye area with the suds. Capasal is primarily used to treat seborrheic dermatitis - oily skin debris, blepharitis seems to be an infection of the eyelash follicles again due to debris (I think). I know if I miss a shower I get the 'crusty lids'. I presume you have this problem so please give it a try and let us know if it works for you, fingers crossed.

No never heard of that. ...I have just finished a course of doxycycline. ...1st Time I had them they worked really well ....I got the info from this site and asked my GP about them which is why I got them. They haven't worked as well this time.... I use blephasol wipes and blephasol lotion which do help me but like I say I still get flare ups and each time it's different. ....at the moment my right eyelid is very sore is swollen and I don't really know what to do about it....I look a freak especially 1st thing on a morning....😟

What u saw as Capasal fir dandruff at about $56. That would be much more than £12, I think...

No, no need to scrub them, just close and massage gently. When rinsing use a squeegy action with your fingertips to wipe away the suds under the shower.
