my tongue, especially the base of my tongue has been white with enlarged taste buds for a bit over a month now. My tonsils have been swollen and white as well but almost 100% painless. the white pus on my tonsils will sometimes go away for a day of two but then will start to pop up again. more recently ive noticed red bumps on the side of my tongue. once again they are 100% painless. i don't know if i have always had them or i'm just noticing them now. i also have small clusters of white bumps on my top gums. once again 100% painless and im unsure if i just developed them or if i have always had them and am just noticing them now. I'm so scared its an sti like oral hpv. i was vaccinated for hpv when i was younger and i know its not always affective. i have an appointment at a sexual health clinic in a couple days but this has been tearing me apart for over a month and I need some answers now. someone please help. 
the bumps on the gums could possibly be warts they look like proturstions of skin
tongue bumps and especially the side back of the tongue are normal. I have really big bumps at the side/back of mine on each side.. doctor and dentists have said they are perfectly normal mine are just a little larger than others 
not sure about on your gums though as I have no bumps there
here is a photo of mine that two dentist have said are perfectly normal and a doctor but mine are just quite large I was really worried and stressed out about them lol
