Oral medication for LS

I am having a terrible flare up. Is there any oral medication for LS

Have you tried antihistamine's.they calm inflammation and reduce the itch. Then I would try pain relief. That is all I can think of apart from the usual creams for soothing and Clobetasol steroid cream to work externally. Increase treatments to daily for a while then when you have it under control reduce gradually back to once or twice a week for maintenance. Good luck. I was like that last week following a foot operation. The stress and incontinence caused by inability to get to loo in time with foot in cast. I can't walk on it till 1/7/16. Can't wait. I found the pain relief and increasing treatments together with antihistamine helped mine become bearable quite quickly. I even reverted to sudocrem (nappy cream)for a while.

I've not heard of any, but I do avoid certain foods - citrus, Earl Grey tea and unfortunately sweets and chocolate, which all seem to make things worse.  Are you under stress at the moment?

Rona, I'm guessing you have either had to much sugar or a lot of stress, or both!! those tend to be the culprits..If you can cut out all sugars immediately you should notice a big difference even in a couple of days.

YEP.

I've had antihistamines work....add a warm bath - 20 min!

Great before bedtime!

Also, really salty foods like potato chips sometimes cause my flare ups!!
