in about a week im having 5 teeth removed vuia oral surgery. i will be put to sleep for the surgery via local anethesia what can i expect in terms of recovery will the stich my mouth up after the 5 teeth are pulled or just give me gauze what else can i expect this is my first time
I've only had two out at once but I came round really quickly and there was no real pain afterwards. I didn't have stitches, the sockets just healed. Mine were molars so big. My friend had stitches when she had her wisdom teeth out but had no problems. I think the worst part is that you have to be careful not to chew too hard on the surgery site. Might be better to stick to soft food for a few days. Good luck.

Sorry but there's something wrong here. Local anaesthesia doesn't put you to sleep. It would just be a series of injections into the gums around the teeth to completely deaden the area so you feel no pain.
I've had two teeth removed by an oral surgeon - though not both at the same time - and it's basically just the same as visiting the dentist.
