I had it once like 6 months ago after an endoscopy and then was left with thrush. It was so painful and awful that I stopped eating or drinking and needed an IV eventually.
I think I might have it again, I woke up with a really sore throat and my tongue feels like it's overed in paper cuts. I think this is how it started last time, anyone have it recently?
