Orlistat first timer! - Help - Freaking out!

Hello, I've just be prescribed Orlistat today and i have been reading up on the side effects and such like and now i'm absolutely petrified of taking any more of them, i usually have porridge or toast for my breakfast with a piece of fruit and some water and for my lunch it's either jacket potato, cheese and tuna or a tuna / egg salad roll with water, but the dinners are a little harder as we have a large family and we usually just all eat the same and that can range from sausage and chips to pie and potatoes.

I'm not sure what to do as it would be hard for me to change my diet as the rule in our house is if you don't eat whats served up you go without and i'm petrified of all the side effects.

I do zumba for a hour a day and i go to college every day and i have to walk up and down three flights of stairs at least to get to my classes.

I'm not sure what to do or if my diet will be fine over all as i am upping the amount of fruit and veg i eat, i've cut out fizzy drinks and anything to sugary or really high in fats.

Someone please help!

I've taken one tablet so far and it came back up and now i really am not sure what to do >.<

I am freaking out over here, i think thats the most appropriate way to put it right now! o.o

Hi chic, I'm no longer on them but took them for 6 months loosing 3 1/2 stone.

Basically the sausage chips and pies are a big no no! To put it nice you won't get off the loo once they kick in.

Cheese is also a no!!

Read all packets and you shouldn't go over 5g of fat per 100g and you will be surprised as nearly everything I ate even thinking it was healthy does.

You need to be on a very low fat diet else the tablets will block you absorbing it and you'll poo it out and you can't control the bright orange oil!!! It's not nice!! Only happened once to me😳never again.

My diet was on a average day, porridge or cereal and fruit

For lunch soup or Cous Cous or low fat sandwich no butter or mayo.

Eve meal chicken salad, or stews, fish and veg. It's not a magic pill you need to work hard too, you must be on a low fat diet else you will never leave the bathroom. They just help you loose a little quickersmile

My scales now report it is working for me (I'll be upgrading g to digital ones today) but yes I've been reading packets if you cook from scratch just use fry light if you really need to beef and pork have their own fat. The slow cooker has been a god send as you can also skim the top with I will nevelookspwg bog the same again now though lol. I have 2 toddlers one of whom needs lots of good fat in her food as she's pretty thin. But is average it all out feed them normal Chios and me hand made ones in the oven so it all looks the same. Its not perfect and my body doesn't seem to need anywhere near what I putting in it but the kids are adapting g to healthy food. So your family can adjust what the eat to

diet pills work but when you will do honest workout and maintain your diet. so firstly select the plan where you can get fitness.
