Orlistat friendly foods

Hiya ladies and gents. I'm starting on Orlistat tomorrow and looking at peoples experiences i've got a good idea what i need to stick too. Thinking following WW alongside the pills. My question is i don't see many people talking about eggs, i'm a huge fan, are they a no no with orlistat!

Hi Gemima,

Welcome to the group.

I still have egg in my diet, albeit only once a week, normally at the weekend for breaky. I guess the problem is what you have egg with, as alone they are quite fatty, 1 large egg contains approx 5g of fat. Alternatively you could just have the egg white, virtually fat free!

Good Luck,

Carley

How about salmon? I'm assume chicken and lean pork is ok?

i think salmon is quite fatty, i eat chicken, lean pork, lean beef steaks, extra lean beef mince, turkey is low fat too but lamb is very fatty.

the box of large eggs i have here say they are 7.3g fat each so check out the info on the box if they are from supermarket. personally i dont bother with eggs often because of how fatty they are for just one

i have a \"fry up\" every so often, have quorn sausages (grilled), onions beans and 1 egg and it's loverly smile never had any problems after. just make note of portion sizes and fat content

As a WW member i have always followed the SAT FAT in food so was shocked when I saw how much straight forward fat i was eating. I still have a stock pile of WW friendly snack stuff which I refuse to chuck or give away stuff like crisps and cereal bars. If i fancy a snack which I wouldn't take the pill with would i still get the side effects?

I don't take the pill with snacks only with main meals, breakfast, lunch and tea. but you do need to take into consideration the fat content for the whole day so you do still need to factor in total fat content for snacks as well as the main meals
