Ouch.....Arthritis :-(

Not a nice condition to have, is it ! Mine was confirmed 6 months ago following a hip/pelvic x-ray, which also showed a trapped nerve, hence the pain. The doctor started me on pain killers (Codeine Sulphate), with no joy. So I went onto Tranadol, with still no joy. Then MST Morphine Sulphate (10mg). No joy again. Now I'm on double the dose. I have only been on them for 2-3 days, but doesn't look very hopeful.

Has anyone out there been through a similar regime? Would be very grateful for your comments.

Many thanks,

Lionel

Try some NSAIDs (Non Steroidal Anti inflammatory Drugs) which includes motrin, ibuprofen, advil , it will be good arthritis pain.

I have been taking a supplement known at Jointsnknees for almost a year now. It has really helped me a lot.

Hi Lionel, Welcome to the broken club. It took two years for my GP to take me seriously claiming that I has sciatica. I have degenerative wear in my back (minus 2 discs) and my first hip replacement at the grand old age of 52. I was dosed up with Co-codamol to lethal levels. I have found a combination of a morphine based pain killer, Diclaflex and a potent sleeping tab. Sorry to tell you this, especially if you are north of the border...... it is only going to get worse. Find a good GP who specialises in pain management and get a tens machine and hotwater bottle for yourself and do any travelling now whilst you can.

Sorry to be so negative, but this is the way it is.
