Hi can anyone help. I took my 150mg sertreline this morning then I noticed they were out of date by a year. Will this make me ill. Cant stop worrying. I am to blame as I just grab a box from top drew. How silly off me. Has anyone done this before . I so hope it don't make me ill. Help
HI Shell58234, I work in a pharmacy, and as far as I know medication just stops being effective once it has expired. So as far as I know it wouldn't do you any harm. Obviously if you want to put your mind at ease you could pop into your local pharmacy and ask the pharmacist there. Also, its probably a good idea if you go there so they can safely dispose of the out of date medication for you. Take care, Amy
