I'm on the first day of my period and I feel it burning, does this mean I have herpes inside my vagina .. dies this mean I will not be able to have a child ? I'm heartbroken...
Of course you can have a child. Millions of women have herpes and have kids all the time. I guess if you happen to be having an outbreak at the time of labour they'd just give you a cesarean.
I don't ever want to pass this to my child .. what's the point in having one if I can't be close to them the way I want to and I've always dreamed of a natural birth I guess that's out the question too .. sigh
You have nothing to worry about. You caught the virus before becoming pregnant so your body will produce enough antibodies to protect a baby before birth. It's only dangerous if you catch the virus during pregnancy as your body will not have had sufficient time to produce the antibodies. The chance of passing the virus onto your baby is very slight. Outbreaks are fewer and further between the longer you have the virus, and the midwife would make extra sure you are not having an outbreak when you go into labour. You can still have the natural birth you dream of!
Thank so much for that really appreciated 💜
