Ovarian cancer symptoms

i have symptoms which worry me. nausea, low appetite, ibs, irritable bladder, pelvic pain, depression and anxiety due to all this worry. what is the most definitive way of finding if its something nasty, is it MRI CATSCAN or what.

I completely understand your worry. I did the same thing to myself a few months ago. Keep in mind, our fears are usually irrational and anxiety is usually the culprit in most cases. I had all of the symptoms you mentioned above and it ended up being IBS. I, of course, thought the worst case scenario beforehand!
Always good to check it out, though.
CT scans are usually the first choice in picking up abnormalities. Although, I’m not a big fan of the large dose of radiation you end up with. MRIs show areas with rapid growth activity and use no radiation, but many insurances want a CT first…at least in the states. Talk with your doctor. He/she can probably give you a better idea about approach and coverage.
Above all…take some deep breaths and stay OFF Google! According to Google, the worst is always the first thing to come up and everyone is always dying!

Any of these tests will detect nasties. However, your symptoms sound like IBS and anxiety and depression will flare up your IBS. Since you have been diagnosed with IBS, I wouldn’t have more tests unless your doctor thinks it is necessary. Try to relax.
