Over active to under active

Only been on carbimazole for under 3months for over active thyroid and on taking blood test dr found that my thyroid has now go to under active, so its very important that you keep having blood test at doctors to keep a close eye on it. I have now reduced to only 5mg of carbimazole.

I am back on the low end of normal and am worried I might go under.

What symptoms did you have when you were under? Anything that was different to over?

Not really only found it out with routine blood check, although I had stated to sleep through the night, were as i was waking several times before and of cause putting on weight.

Thanks for the reply. Will just have to wait for the next blood test. Some times I don't have to do very much and I run completely out of steam. Pottering about is all that I do these days.
