Hi folks,
I wasn't quite sure where to pop this discussion so I'm hoping it doens't get over looked.
Anyway I was wondering if anyone has suffered long term dizzines and blurred vision through over breathing? Sadly I have been suffering for nearly three years.
I have an appointment with the ENT coming up soon however my doctor also mentioned over breathing to me...something I am not conscious of doing?
One thing I do know is that this dizziness is there ALL the time but can get worse when remotely excited or stressed.
I must add thankfully all blood tests / MRI scan has come back normal BUT as you can imagine the above symptoms are still very destressing.
All suggestions welcome - 2015 is the year i get my life back (fingers tightly crossed)
Hi Debs, I wondered whether you had had a look at the following leaflet?

My only other suggestion, is to put this in the chat room if you don't get any response here, or, there are breathing problems in the anxiety group too

You are obviously discussing it with your GP. Have you had your eyes tested if you are complaining of blurred vision?
Hi. You mention you have an appointment with ENT? I only ask as I wondered if you have throat problems which could be affecting your breathing? I have suffered for around a year with 'hoarse' breathing which gets worse at night. I make an awful noise in my sleep. It has been suggested that this could be the result of acid reflux (which I suffer as a result of long term steroids due to having PMR). Are you on any medication for other conditions which might be responsible? One thing which occurs to me is that, when I was a child, I was supposed to have my tonsils and adenoids removed but for various reasons this never happened. Perhaps if it had, I wouldn't be having this problem now! Anything similar in your past? Anyway, good luck and keep us posted with your progress. I shall watch with interest. Take care, Debbie
