Hi
I think I'm getting to much medication, I'm hypothyroid. I changed my dose about 6 weeks ago, I was on .88mcgs daily, then I started to feel anxious and the labs came back with a tSH of 1.84 which for most people is ok but for me its to much, I'm better between 2 & 3, so we decreased the meds to .88mcg 6 days a week and .75mcgs one day a week, that was about 6 weeks ago. Well 2 weeks ago I got a bad cold and was on sudefed for a few days and started to feel speedy again, I assumed it was the cold meds and I am also on nortriptyline that I started 4 weeks before the cold and during the week of the cold 2 weeks ago I had increased that med so my vertigo doctor who gave me the nort said to lower the nort and see if it gets better. So we assumed that was it also. I didn't even consider the thyroid meds until today. I'm having anxiety attacks, nervousness, shaking feeling, hands shaking some and looser bowels, no appetite. So I'm thinking its the thyroid meds, I have labs tomorrow and see the endo on thursday. Does this sound like over medication? I'm starting to freak out some because I know this can effect the heart. I'm also on propranolol for migraines so its probably keeping the heart a bit better than if I wasn't on it. I haven't called the endo because i will see him thursday, and there is nothing they can do until the labs come back and most likely will just lower the dose again. Has anyone gone through this and worried about a heart attack? any help is appreciated. Thank you.
