My doctor has been repeatedly giving me blood tests and I am waiting a few months for another. Symptoms are palpitations, headaches, ear ache,
pain in neck under ear, sinus, confusion/lack of concentration, husky voice and sore throat. I was taking flaxseed oil but only past few weeks and read some can be allergic to it or get their thyroid made worse by it so stopped. I live in England so things are different here. You have to wait for things
and if the doctor says yes or not or whtever that is it, they dont give you the actual complete results such as your level is 56, they keep that information to themselves.
Ok firstly you have the right to ask for a copy of the blood tests results so therefore you can see for yourself what they are they cannot refuse to give this to you.
I suffer from symptoms similar and i am over active
Yes, ask for a copy of your lab tests. Helps you to become an empowered patient. Once you have values, you can learn a lot about the meaning of these tests online.
Hi Carmel, All i suggest is that you demand your blood test and keep a record of the results yourself. I agree with other comment you can find out so much information from the internet as doctors do seem to be reluctant to tell you too much. Everyones symptoms are different and there are similarities between hashimoto's (low thryoid) and graves disease (over active thryoid) so you will need to be diagnosed properly....good luck
