Hi Melde:

After reading your post I just had to reply. My Spleen was removed a very long time ago but never had a problem going through my 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, etc. Also had Groin Hernias repaired without mesh at the Marine Hospital in New York way back in 1966. Never a problem, not even now. One afternoon I noticed a small bump near my Umbilicus and sure enough it was a Hernia.

That was in 2008 and it was repaired with mesh. My life has become a duplicate of yours since then. Additional Hernias’ have appeared and been repaired with mesh only for a new one to pop up a few months later. Right now I’m waiting for a surgeon in Sarasota Florida to make the arrangements to remove all my abdominal mesh at Sarasota Memorial. What he does is almost like a Tummy Tuck but also involves the muscle layer being tightened up as well. I thought, what do I have to lose, my life ended ten years ago. Yes I also have asked the Lord to take me as recently as last night. So look I’ll try to keep in touch and let you know how I make out.

Oh, before I forget, In one surgery I had a six inch piece of my Colon needed to be removed. It wasn’t that big of a deal. I was shocked that a BM occurred very naturally only three days after that surgery. Thought that knowledge might help you. I hope this somehow helps you and may your God bless you with better health.

Warm Wishes.
Ron
