Oxygen Saturation Level when asleep

Sorry it's me obsessing with oxygen saturation levels again. I suspect that there is a problem with my breathing that's causing me to wake up every hour or two at night. Perhaps a problem with my lungs or bronchials. During the day my SpO2 level is around 98% which I guess is normal. I'm wondering what is the normal SpO2 level during sleep? I read online it should still be 95% or above? If I wake up again breathing heavy or fast tonight I might check it to make sure it's ok. Many thanks

It depends on your medical history. For example, if you smoke your oxygen saturation levels would range from 95 to 90 but I was always told anything above anything above 90 is fine.. Or if you have anxiety, asthma, Etc. There are many factors. Whenever I’m having a panic attack, my oxygen saturation levels go to 94 and that’s when I’m awake.
whenever we are sleeping, our breathing is more slowed depending on what our dreams may be . if you’re having a nightmare, that will make your breathing fast or heavy. you just have to look how’s your medical history and take that into factor then think of other factors if you have nightmares, etc.

Please check and let us know update. I am at oxy 98-96.

This is a very sour subject. I always had 99 or 98% all my life, only checked it occasionally. A few years ago I collapsed during a 3 mile walk, one I performed every day. Since then I can’t catch my breath and have an exercise intolerance. I started checking mine regularly. I do not smoke or anything like that. But since then my level is 95 or below. I caught it it the high 80’s at times. The odd thing is that I can hold my breath I can bring it up higher. When I am having a panic attack and high anxiety it is the only time my oxygen levels increase to 98 or 99. (good normal) They blame everything on anxiety although I think something else is going on. They say my equipment is off although I have 2 units and they compared them to the equipment they have. They are always spot on. However since my collapse I developed exercise intolerance and my anxiety shot up. I developed agoraphobia because I can’t catch my breath and I keep collapsing in public so many times now. Therefore every time I go to the doctor my anxiety is super high and my spo2 looks great. I show them the video and say hey I am relaxed when this happens, this is at levels that they normally supplement with oxygen. What is going on this is not normal? The doctor instead of running tests just says I should not have such a device because I am causing the symptoms by monitoring it. I would not check it if I normally felt good.

Anyway your levels do look ok. It can read lower because your hands are cold. Normal body fluctuations that redirect blood flow like eating. Many things can alter it including taking the test in bright light. Trust me I myself got told all the reasons but when I point out in my video that all those things are not and issue they still offer no reason why mine drops so low.

I do have a PFO or hole in my heart since birth. They say it’s not and issue but I believe it actually may have something to do with my poor oxygen levels at times when my body is not running on adrenaline. It’s odd because when I should feel out of breath I am usually not and when I do feel out of breath the meter says everything is good. I actually use it to see my oxygen level during a panic attack to convince myself that I will live because my oxygen is good at the time despite my heart racing at 160 bpm at rest.
