Hey guys!
Haven't been on here for a while but wanted some advice on the pain I've been getting the past few days.
I'm exactly 1 year post op after having a THR on my left hip and about 3 days ago I got out of my car quite awkwardly and think I twisted my leg abit too much...the day after I was in quite abit of pain when I walked and moved certain ways so I rested for a day and thought it had gone but then today it seems to be back.
It's kind of a ache/pain in my hip and knee area and I'm just worried that I've done something or if this is the start of me having pain regularly now?
I was very lucky when I had the surgery as I had pretty much no pain afterwards so I think that's why this is concerning me
If anyone can put my mind at rest or give me any advice I would much appreciate it!
Thank you
Sounds more like you've pulled a muscle best get it checked out
hi crawfix,
is the pain in your operated hip/leg? could be that you twisted it .. I tripped (without falling) over something stupid and felt it for a couple of days ...
the only person who can give you peace of mind is your doctor, darling - when you still experienced a lot of pain, make an appoitnment with your surgeon ... maybe a one year check-up?
good to hear how well you are doing ...
let is know how you are getting on okay
big warm hug

You have probably upset the muscles that are still healing ( it can take up to two years). Get the GP to check your hip out for peace of mind, but it may go away on its own, I am nearly 22 months post op and I still get the odd pain if I move in a way the hip doesnt like, it often settles down or I see my Osteopath. DO you feel your muscles tight around the back/pelvic area, the IT band often tightens up and can produce this pain.
Morning crawfyx. I think it's best if you get checked out by a dr. It could be nothing, a pulled muscle. Is there any swelling? Wishing you all the best and let us know how you are doing. Hugs 🤗. Linda
I'm a year gone February, got up slightly wrong at work off the floor and had some pain for about a week, felt like there was a lump but couldn't actually feel a lump. But much better now. But it did set my other knee, hip and back off.before it got better. I was also told it can take two years to heal.
