hi, so i had my ear operation a week ago and the pain and pressure was pretty mild, finished my antibiotics(day 5). day 8 i woke up 1am in pain and as more pressure in my ear possibly swelling and it hurt to open my jaw or move my head from side to side.( i say it felt like a wisdom tooth coming threw my ear) i checked my cotton woll and there was alot more blood than days before. yesterday i went to see a doctor where they cleaned my ear and found a normal amount of blood. He put peroxide around the ear, since then it has started feeling better and the pressure has gone down. day 10 i am stil experiencing loud ringing in the ear and it doesnt really seem as my hearing has gotten any better, hoping that the prosthetic bone hasnt dislodged or the swelling didnt hurt me eardrum...
- has anybody else experienced similar pain after there stapedectomy operation and how did it go afterwards ?
- has anybodies bone become dislodged and what did it feel like ?
I am seeing my doctor again tommorow so i will stay posted with what he says.
Hallo Moxhan07, ich hatte am 6. April eine Stapedektomie. Ich fühle mich großartig! Ich war letzten Freitag, den 28., bei meiner Ärztin. Sie hat die Reste des sich auflösenden Tampons gereinigt und mein Hörvermögen hat sich verbessert, sodass ich sogar zu weinen begann. Ich habe noch drei Wochen bis zur vollständigen Erholung von sechs Wochen, aber ich kann sagen, dass die Operation ein Erfolg war. Ich hatte nach dem zweiten Tag der Operation keine Schmerzen...kein Klingeln...etwas Druck aufgrund von Schwellungen. Ich habe immer noch leichte Schwellungen, nehme aber immer noch Tropfen, die ich nicht mag, weil es sich anfühlt, als hätte ich Wasser im Ohr, das dann wieder verschwindet. Gib es Zeit. Denke daran, dass du innere Heilung hast, also gib es Zeit. Ich hatte Ergebnisse innerhalb von 2 Wochen!

Awsome to hear that your operation went good ! Ok, I went back to the hospital and they had a look. My local gp was cleaning around wound with hydrogen peroxide which is a big mistake as it won't heal with wound or possibly the graft won't hold. So fingers crossed it's stil ok and they didn't put to much in.
When you say you had results with 2 weeks could you hear better even with the gauze and stuffing stil in your ear ?

Ich hatte eine sich auflösende Tamponade in meinem Ohr und sie war zwei Wochen drin... als sie drin war, klang alles so, als wäre mein Ohr verstopft, ich hörte keinen Unterschied, was mich ein wenig ängstlich machte. Aber sie hat die restliche Tamponade abgesaugt und ich spürte einen RIESEN Unterschied... mein Gehör ist viel besser, ich kann alles hören, was ich vorher nicht konnte. Früher hatte ich den Fernseher fast auf 60 gestellt und jetzt kann ich alles bei 35-40 hören. Es ist unglaublich, wie gut diese Operation ist.... du wirst okay sein. Zeit ist Geduld
